Fighting for the Right to Fight: African American Experiences in World War II shares the personal and group experiences of African American men and women during World War II. The exhibit examines social changes brought about by the events of World War II and connects African Americans’ efforts during the war to the burgeoning Civil Rights Movement.

The program includes a screening of an episode from the Netflix® Original Documentary Series Medal of Honor featuring the story of WWII Hero Edward Carter.

A conversation with author & family member Mrs. Allene Carter and Netflix® Producer James Moll will follow the screening.
