Family Sunday activities:
• Explore the Fighting for the Right to Fight: African American Experiences In WWII exhibition from The National WWII Museum in New Orleans. A discovery activity leads you through the dramatic, interactive kiosks and displays that describe the experience of African Americans in the United States Armed Forces before, during and after WWII (12:00pm- 5:00pm)
• Create your own interpretation of the American flag in an exciting arts workshop, ONE: Creating Unity Through Art, a Human Element Project (1:00pm-3:00pm)
• Join an interactive webcast where student reporters invite us to examine artifacts and explore important WWII U.S. Memorials to understand African American experiences in WWII (2:30pm-3:20pm)
• Celebrate Black History Month with uplifting live soul music from the band, “Tough Love” and the #loverevolution (3:30pm-4:30pm)
