Artist Sundays at MOT

Sunday, April 16th

Sunday, May 21st

Sunday, June 11th

What reminds us of family, community and our important memories?  This ARTIST SUNDAYS at the Museum of Tolerance is a chance to learn about and create through visual art.

Weaving is a form of textile art that can tell a story. In this workshop you'll learn basic weaving techniques, choose colors and textures to symbolize ideas that are important to you and your loved ones, and come away with an artifact that represents your own unique, important memories.

In the Finding Our Families, Finding Ourselves exhibit, we see that all cultures infuse art into items that not only serve a practical purpose, but are tangible touchstones to access memories of what we value and love.

They will be first come, first served and there will be four different times opportunities to engage in the workshop each day, at 11:00am, 12:30pm, 2:00pm, and 3:30pm.

Come and weave a memory that you can carry with you in this hands-on workshop led by a P.S. ARTS teaching artist.
