All In For Public Education

Los Angeles Unified Celebrates the Power of Community Partnerships

The Museum of Tolerance was proud to host All In for Public Education, a celebratory event with student performances, a video presentation featuring Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti and testimonials on the power of community partnerships from students, teachers and community members. School Board President Mónica García and Superintendent Austin Beutner gave remarks. There were also numerous booths showcasing some of Los Angeles Unified’s successful programs and partnerships.

The All In for Public Education event is being held to raise awareness on the importance of community partnerships in providing every child with the best education possible.

Research has demonstrated that when parents and community organizations are involved in public schools, student academic performance improves. Community organizations can provide services that address the unique needs and challenges faced by students.
