What are we thinking about

As Thanksgiving approaches, we have one of our favorite articles from Teaching Tolerance titled TeachingThanksgiving in a Socially Responsible Way on our minds. We challenge you with this question – How will you honor the voices of Native communities and de-romanticize the often inaccurate narrative of Thanksgiving while maintaining positive themes about gratitude and comradery?

Elections can raise questions for students and their families. Explore how elections impact our country and countries across world with these free text sets and guiding questions from newsela!

  1. Elections from Around the World
  2. If Midterms were a test – voters would flunk

Native American Heritage Month - Native Voices 360 is a project of Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian and provides free online teaching resources that allow educators to hold dialogue about Native communities throughout the school year. Please visit them online to get started!

Hope to see you soon,
