Planned Giving

Plan to make a difference for yourself and for the Museum of Tolerance through a charitable gift.

Consider leaving a legacy to make an impact for future generations.

A planned gift can perpetuate your commitment to the Museum of Tolerance and at the same time be a benefit  through the form of philanthropy known as Planned Giving. Charitable estate and financial planning may be in the form of cash, real estate, securities or other marketable property.

Planned Giving opportunities include Bequests, Lifetime Gifts of Appreciated Property, Charitable Remainder Trust, Charitable Lead Trusts, Life Insurance, Retirement Plans, and an Affirmation of Your Commitment.

2009 Extension of Tax-Free IRA Gifts
**Act Now**

The Museum of Tolerance could use your help. During these difficult economic times, taking advantage of a tax-free IRA gift is another way to support the ongoing and important work of the Museum of Tolerance .

Tax-free rollover gifts from traditional or Roth IRA’s to charities such as the Museum of Tolerance were extended into 2009 by the newly signed Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 thereby allowing:

•donors who are 70½ or older to contribute
•contributions not to exceed $100,000 in 2009
•transfers from an IRA directly to the Museum of Tolerance
•eligible donors to contribute through 2009

As was the case in 2006 and 2007, this legislation does not permit an IRA Charitable Rollover to fund life income gifts such as Charitable Gift Annuities and Charitable Remainder Trusts, or to make gifts to private family foundations and donor-advised funds.  However, a donor can use these funds to pay a pledge made to a charity.

In addition to the Museum of Tolerance , gifts can also be made to the Simon Wiesenthal Center- Los Angeles, Museum of Tolerance - Jerusalem, New York Tolerancenter, iACT/Campus Outreach and Moriah Films.

In order to properly complete the gift, your IRA administrator must make the check payable directly to the Museum of Tolerance.  As we could really use your help, we would appreciate your thoughtful and generous consideration. Gifts should be made to:

Museum of Tolerance
1399 South Roxbury Drive
Los Angeles, CA 90035-4709
EIN #95-3964928
