The Museum of Tolerance is looking for energetic and engaging tour guides to provide museum tours, as well as special exhibitions, including our newest Anne Frank exhibit, in order to enhance the quality of the museum experience for all visitors.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead museum tours and assist museum visitors
  • Serve as stationary guide in assigned locations
  • Assist Floor Managers and Floor Coordinators
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Must be available to work flexible days Sunday through Friday as needed and hours starting as early as 8:30 a.m.; Thursday evenings to 9:30 p.m.
  • Must be able to commit to working 29 hours per week

Skills and Requirements:

  • Experience in a dynamic, fast paced environment
  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Impeccable customer service skills
  • Great demeanor with general public
  • Ability and desire to work with students of all ages, especially high school students
  • Ability to engage groups and facilitate a walking tour for 3 hours
  • Foreign language skills desirable
  • American Sign Language a bonus

PLEASE NOTE: The Museum is Closed Saturdays and Jewish Holidays -

Winter Hours are in effect. The MOT closes at 3:30pm on Fridays between November - March. Last entrance is at 1:00pm. 

The MOT will close early, at 3:30pm on December 24 and remain closed on December 25, Christmas Day.
