Dr. Terrence Roberts
Of the Little Rock Nine

Monday, February 19, 2018 at 12:30pm

Take a step into one of the most historic and defining chapters of the Civil Rights Movement. Three years after the Supreme Court’s landmark decision, Brown v. Board of Education, struck down segregation in our nation’s schools, schools remained segregated. Nine incredibly courageous black students emerged and dared to challenge racial segregation in public schools by enrolling in the all white Central High School in Little Rock, Arkansas. Under the protection of 1,000 U.S. Army Paratroopers and against thousands of angry protesters they began their year at Central High. They would become known as the Little Rock Nine!

Hear Dr. Terrence Roberts, one of the Little Rock Nine, talk about his decision to become one of the Nine, what he endured at Central and his powerful message for young people today.

Dr. Roberts has had a distinguished career as College Professor, Clinical Psychologist, Author and Management Consultant.
