PINWHEEL EXHIBIT

An inspiring exhibit of pinwheels that were created by Syrian children living in a refugee camp in Lebanon and by youth all over the world who participated in the Students Rebuild Healing Classroom Challenge in support of their Syrian peers.
           
Take the Facing Difference Challenge
Participate in the Students Rebuild Facing Difference Challenge to empower young people to reflect and take action toward building understanding, empathy and peace. Stop by the Museum Lobby Atrium and create a self‐portrait. For every self-portrait you submit, the Bezos Family Foundation will donate $3 to help young people across conflict zones engage in dialogue and work toward peace.

SCREENING OF '4.1 MILES' 

1:30 PM: 2nd Floor Viewing Room

4.1 Miles by Daphne Matziaraki profiles a coast guard captain in Greece who is charged with saving thousands of refugees from drowning. The film follows one harrowing day with the captain as he pulls families trapped on flimsy boats from the sea while they struggle to cross into Europe.
