For school groups 5th grade through college
Through live theatre and dynamic archival imagery, Living Voices brings to life the story of Cesar Chavez and how he led a movement of Latin American farm workers who fought for civil rights and battled indecent working conditions and racism.
Experience this chapter of American history as one young woman balances the demands of her family and culture and fights to see her people free of poverty.
A facilitated exercise to help students make connections between the movement led by Cesar Chavez and the impact on their lives today will follow the performance. Curriculum is available.
Schools wishing to attend the performance must allow an additional 2 hours beyond the school’s scheduled tour time, which will allow for students’ lunch and for the LA CAUSA performance.
Once you register you will receive a confirmation with your school’s tour, lunch and performance schedule.
No charge but advance registration is required.
