In her new film, The Art of Observing Life, renowned Russian documentarian Marina Goldovskaya shares her intimate conversations with the pioneers of cinéma vérité. The film includes interviews with award-winning documentary luminaries Robert Drew, Anne Drew, Chris Hegedus, Allan King, Valérie Lalonde, Richard Leacock, Albert Maysles, Jonas Mekas, D.A. Pennebaker, Lionel Rogosin and Michael Rubbo. As a beloved peer of the legends she interviews and a veteran cinéma vérité filmmaker herself, Marina Goldovskaya is able to capture these rare and priceless conversations about their creative lives and groundbreaking careers as no other documentarian could.
