When Comedy Went to School

Special Pre-release Film Screening

Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at 7:00pm

With Special Guests Film Co-Directors Mevlut Akkaya and Ron Frank

When Comedy Went to School is a feature-length documentary about the greatest generation of Jewish-American comedians who got their start in the Catskill Mountains.

These 500+ hotels and bungalow colonies provided a comedic boot camp for the most fascinating and transformative period in American humor.

This remarkable group included Jerry Lewis, Sid Caesar, Lenny Bruce, Mel Brooks, Woody Allen, Joan Rivers, Billy Crystal and a very young Jerry Seinfeld.  When Comedy Went to School:  What a graduating class!

Join us for an evening of laughter and memories.

When Comedy Went to School opens at the Laemmle Theaters starting August 16th.

MOT Members: $12.00
General Admission: $15.00
