Freedom Sunday

In celebration of the Freedom’s Sisters exhibition and in honor of Southern California Freedom’s Sisters

Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 3:00pm

STEP into history with actress and professor Dr. Kenya Davis Hayes as she takes the stage to bring to life the inspirational stories of select Freedom’s Sisters like Rosa Parks and Harriet Tubman.

ENJOY the artistry of the African Soul International Dance Company as they pay a spirited tribute to the Southern California Freedom’s Sisters through song, dance and traditional African percussion in this special inaugural performance.

APPLAUD the winners of the Essay Contest for grades 4-8 at the presentation of prizes, sponsored by the Ford Motor Company Fund.

Winter Hours are in effect. The MOT closes at 3:30pm on Fridays between November - March. Last entrance is at 1:00pm. 

The MOT will close early, at 3:30pm on December 24 and remain closed on December 25, Christmas Day.
