Lost Voices

A rare film screening and discussion

Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at 7:00pm

Former Albanian political prisoners tell their stories of imprisonment, torture and persecution under the Communist regime from 1944 to 1991 in a rare, historical documentary film, “Lost Voices Making History.” The program includes a live conversation with a former Albanian political prisoner born and raised in a prison camp through his triumphant release into the American Dream.

Rose Dosti, former Los Angeles Times journalist and president of the Albanian Human Rights Project, will give a brief overview of Albania yesterday and today prior to the screening. She will conduct an interview with the guest speaker, followed by a question and answer period.
