The Consulate General of Israel in Los Angeles, the Museum of Tolerance and Oscilloscope Laboratories invite you to a special pre-release screening.

A FILM UNFINISHED is the story of a movie that was never completed. At the end of WWII, 60 minutes of raw film was discovered.  The footage was shot by the Nazis in Warsaw in May 1942 and was labeled simply “Ghetto”. A later discovery of a missing reel, including scenes staged by the cameraman raised questions about the intent of the footage.

A FILM UNFINISHED presents this footage, noting the fictionalized sequences. It probes deeply into the making of a Nazi propaganda film while documenting some of the worst horrors of our time and exposing the efforts of its perpetrators.

Rob Eshman, Editor-in-Chief of the Jewish Journal of Greater Los Angeles, will moderate a discussion with director Yael Hersonski following the screening.
