Take a guided tour of the landmark exhibition, COURAGE: The Vision to End Segregation. The Guts to Fight for It, which brings to life through recreated sets and fascinating archival material the struggles against racial segregation in public schools, and PARA TODOS LOS NIÑOS / FOR ALL THE CHILDREN: Fighting Segregation in California, which depicts the struggles of Latino families to end segregation in Southern California. Children will receive a special activity guide.
Listen to Sylvia Mendez share the story of her family’s struggle for integrated schools in Southern California. Also, listen to other stories of courage throughout the day from Holocaust survivors.
Be an activist! Create petitions and posters. Make bravery bracelets. Explore what courage means to you. Special films, a Reading Corner, and more!
