Project Coordinator, Tools for Tolerance® for Educators

Museum of Tolerance Los Angeles

The Tools for Tolerance® for Educators, an acclaimed professional development program of the Museum of Tolerance, seeks a full-time Project Coordinator for the planning, development, implementation, and follow-up activities for programs for California educators. This position reports to the Program Manager.

DUTIES INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Provide overall support in planning, development and coordination for the Tools for Tolerance® for Educators programs
  • Duties include assisting in the management of daily programs, coordinating agendas and supplies, assembling materials, calendaring, room set up, audio-visual and catering orders, working with adjunct faculty including facilitators, speakers and presenters.
  • Assist in making travel arrangements for program participants including following up to ensure participant submission of all travel related documents
  • Ensure accuracy of all program reservations
  • Assist as liaison for program and participant groups, presenters, adjunct staff and museum personnel
  • Ensure that all documentation for grant reports and program files is submitted to Administrative Coordinator for inclusion in the grant reporting system
  • Aid in the marketing and recruitment of program participants
  • Assist in social media management and content development
  • Other duties that may be determined by the Program Manager


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills a must
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to work well independently as well as provide supporting role on team
  • High degree of flexibility, can adapt easily to changing environment and tasks
  • Strong presentation and group facilitation skills
  • Ability to undertake multiple tasks and determine the level of priority
  • Highly motivated, shows initiative, and has ability to problem solve
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel (mandatory), Outlook, PowerPoint
  • Passion for adult education, social justice and/or education equity preferred
  • Experience working in schools or in the education field a plus

40 hours/week, Monday-Friday (Occasional Sunday Programs)
